This module effectively replaces or
eliminates the need for a fixed telecommunication
cable. It provides dial-tone emulation and standard
telephone equipment can be connected to it via the
RJ-11 connector. It provides plug and play use of
existing equipment.
There are two versions of this module. The
Voice/Data/Fax model which has the model number
ICI-2004 and the Data-Only which has the model
number the ICI-2004 -DO.
This module provides digital voice, data, and internet fax
capabilities. Connectivity can be through the RJ-11
or the serial RS-232 ports on the module. The RJ-11
port allows the module to be connected to all types
of standard telephony, telemetry or legacy
phone-line products making the applications the
module can be used in almost unlimited.
Demand for this type of device is furthermore
accelerated by the demise of older analog cellular
systems and the relatively high cost to laying and
maintaining copper cabling. Wireless connectivity
using cellular is a perfect alternative.
Target markets include standard voice applications
and all type of data applications where installed
equipment or meters in the field are required to
report in to a management system of some sort. |
